Bosch Car Service: major new partnership
PAROLE DE PARTENAIRE
Around the rally
New Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc partner Bosch Car Service will be present throughout this 29th edition of the rally with a number of projects and actions. Bruno D’Amico, network marketing manager, was among the representatives at this year’s Rallye start village set up at Théâtre de Verdure in Nice.
A partnership of interest to the general public
Bosch Car Service, in existence for 30 years, is a network of independent garages with 650 points of sale in France, the French overseas territories and Morocco. “The network is available to everyone, for the maintenance and servicing of all types of vehicles. We aim to serve all vehicles, be they internal combustion, electric or hybrid. We have a wide range of skills so we will also be able to work on the electric vehicles at this rally.”
Shared human values
Bosch Car Service’s decision to work with Maïenga, the organizer of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc, was motivated by the human values shared by the two organizations. “These values are extremely important to us. Our company has a focus on humanitarian and social action through the support we provide throughout the year in developing countries. It is at the heart of our social engagement.”
Mechanics coaching before the rally
Last February and March, Bosch Car Service coached some twenty teams taking part in this 29th edition. The participants learned basic mechanics such as changing a battery, cleaning the air filter, changing a tire under rally conditions… “We were able to help the Gazelles select appropriate materials and equipment and, more importantly, we identified a few problems like leaking oil pans, defective universal joints and low batteries. The operation was a great success and we will do it again, because there is a real need for it. The Gazelles were looking for guidance, and we were able to reassure them so they can head to the rally with their minds at ease.”
Bosch Car Service mechanics workshops
Bosch Car Service will also be setting up Bosch Car Service mechanics workshops at the Rallye bivouac. The network will provide diagnostic tools such as the KTS, a premium diagnostic solution that has been around for 30 years that will help guide the mechanics in predicting what could go wring with the vehicles. The partner’s logo will be displayed on every vehicle and on the Gazelles and organizers’ vests. Bosch communications officer Virginie Lefebvre will spend 5 days at the rally to observe the conditions in the field and meet the mechanics and Gazelles to get some feedback about the experience.
