An Afriquia service station at the bivouac

Omar ETTAJ, Regional Director of Afriquia’s Tanger office, signalled the start for Leg 1 this morning. Afriquia is a major partner of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc and the Moroccan hydrocarbon industry leader.

There are 12 employees at the bivouac to provide fuel services. With two tanker trucks and four supply pumps, Afriquia has been one of the event’s major partners for many years. “This is a unique rally, for women only. It receives a great deal of media coverage that conveys the image of Morocco around the world.”

Pour Omar ETTAJ, it is also a source of pride: “It is important to us to support the Gazelles of this rally. Our company is interested in furthering its social commitment. It is a great pleasure to be here today.” The Gazelles left the bivouac this morning with Afriquia waterproof bags, an added gesture from Afriquia to the Gazelles.

The Afriquia pump attendants are equipped with state-of-the-art pumps. The service station is open 20 hours per day, providing the Gazelles with the energy they need to continue the competition.
