A first competition briefing
NEJJACK - NEJJACK
Summary
Time to get down to business! 45 minutes before the start of the Prologue, the 312 Gazelles gather in the dining tent for a first competition briefing with Ludovic Taché, Sport Director of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc. Only Team 164 (Nathalie COURREGES / Roxane LOYOLA - LE VILLAGE DES BROCANTEURS 38) has not made it for the Prologue, but is expected to reach the bivouac this evening.
In the meantime, they are getting ready for the Prologue! Tools out, maps spread out on the tables, they are busy plotting the geographic coordinates provided in their road book with the help of their “magic” ruler.
“This prologue does not count for the general ranking. It is used to set tomorrow’s start order. it’s short, just 50 kilometres with 3 checkpoints. You will all be in a small area today, so be careful: you could encounter other teams coming from all directions.”
Today’s checkpoints close at 8 p.m. Before heading for the start line, the teams pick up a Bosch Car Service keychain with their team number for their vehicle keys, so they can be easily identified if lost or found! “I wish you all a good afternoon, and enjoy yourselves out there!”
