The departure for Leg 5 has been modified following yesterday’s bad weather and the cancellation of Leg 4, as the Rallye was unable to advance to the second bivouac.
This morning, Dominique Serra woke the Gazelles up at 4 a.m. At 5:30, they set out by road for the second bivouac, departure point for today’s Leg 5.
A convoy of groups of 10 teams, accompanied by organizer vehicles, drove the 50 kilometres to reach the site of the Mech Irdane bivouac. Teams were provided with an extra 5 litres of fuel. The leg officially started from Mech Irdane at 7 a.m. Leg 5 is underway!
