Team 206: “Morocco committed to women”
KASBAH XALUCA, ERFOUD
Around the rally
The two Moroccan Gazelles from Rabat, Siham, 41, and Bouchra, 37, have known each other for 8 years. In a few hours, they will cross the start line of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc for the first time.
A dream come true
Siham has had this project in her sights since turning 18: “I used to see this event on TV. But I never thought it would be possible; I thought it was just for stars. I was especially impressed by the driving, I love driving. It’s thanks to Bouchra that I’m here today. When she makes up her mind to do something, she sees it through right to the end.” Over dinner in November 2017, the pair decided to take part in the 29th edition and make their dream come true!
Representing Morocco
Siham is an architect and Bouchra is a gynaecologist. One of their reasons for wanting to do this rally was to showcase the exploits of women, and especially the women of their country. “Morocco loves its women and is committed to their cause! We are obviously very proud that this rally takes place in our country, very proud to represent free, liberated Moroccan women. Thanks to the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc and its partners, people are talking about Morocco and not just for the 15 days of the competition…”
