Summary
Ship ready to sail
After the ceremonial start at 3 p.m. this Saturday March 16, the 131 teams have set a course for Sète, 290 kilometres from Nice, where they will board the ferry to Tanger.
The crossing is expected to be calm. Some Gazelles plan to use this time to review their navigation notes, while others will rest up for the days ahead! Either way, this will be their last chance to really relax before the rally really gets started…
The boat will dock in Tanger around 3 p.m. on Monday, and the Gazelles will head south to the first bivouac. Meanwhile, the 26 other teams will carry out their technical, administrative and medical verifications in Erfoud, Morocco on Monday afternoon.
